Elite Proxy

Elite, or high-anonymity, describes a proxy that passes the test for origin-IP and proxy-header exposure. Other detection signals remain.

What it is

An elite proxy is a header-based anonymity label. The test finds no exposed real IP or checked proxy indicator. It differs from anonymous and transparent classifications by the observed headers, rather than a guarantee that the destination cannot detect the proxy or identify a user.

How it works

Check X-Forwarded-For for an exposed origin address and Via for an intermediary. The destination sees an exit IP, whose ASN may still identify a hosting network. Cookies, accounts and fingerprints remain separate signals. A header-echo test verifies that request, not every future connection.

How it relates to s4m

Filter the s4m public proxy list by the observed anonymity label, then verify the selected endpoint with suitable tools. Paid s4m proxies and an optional dedicated IP serve different access and address-stability needs; neither makes an account, browser or proxy undetectable. An exit-IP check alone is not a request-header audit.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How do I check if a proxy is really elite?

Inspect the headers received by a destination through the proxy, checking for the origin IP and proxy indicators such as Via. Their absence supports the test classification only. Repeat with the protocol and client you use; IP reputation and account identifiers are separate.
