Exit IP
An exit IP is the public IP address that a destination sees for your traffic — the address of your VPN server or proxy, not your real one.
What it is
Your exit IP is the source address a destination sees for a request routed through a VPN or proxy. For that connection, the exit node forwards traffic using its public address rather than your origin IP. Its GeoIP, ASN and reputation can affect how the connection is treated. These are IP-level signals: accounts, cookies and browser fingerprints can still identify a user independently.
How it works
A proxy or VPN changes the source address of covered traffic, not every identifying signal or every application route. Check the exit for the actual request and test for unintended bypasses separately. GeoIP databases can disagree; an apparent country does not establish physical location or guarantee acceptance. A fraud score may combine IP reputation with account, device and behavioural signals. Matching a timezone or language does not guarantee a low score.
How it relates to s4m
s4m has selectable public exit configurations. Use the endpoint or profile issued for the protocol and location selected in your account. GeoIP results vary between databases and over time. Verify the actual exit and required country before use; a location label does not guarantee destination acceptance. A dedicated IP is exclusive during its assignment under the service terms. Prior history, assignment duration, availability and supported bindings still matter. The free list contains separate third-party endpoints. Past checks do not guarantee availability; validate candidates before use. Related topics: VPN, proxies, tools, dedicated IP, public list.
Questions, answered
How do I check my exit IP?
Connect through the VPN or proxy, then visit an IP-echo or what-is-my-IP tool. It reports the address the site sees, which should be your exit IP, not your real one. Check its GeoIP too, so you know the apparent location before a location-sensitive task.
